Directions From Kahului Airport

As you leave the rental car area near the airport go straight and go through the first intersection, you should have Krispy Creme on your right and Costco and K-Mart on your left. The very next intersection is the Hana Highway, make a left turn here onto the Hana Highway and follow the road as it curves left around toward Hana and Paia. At the intersection with the Haleakala Highway (Hwy 37), make a right-hand turn and follow the highway up the side of the volcano. Keep an eye out for the mile markers along the RIGHT-HAND SIDE of the road. You'll go straight to mile marker 12. AFTER YOU START UP THE VOLCANO DO NOT TURN ANYWHERE, STAY ON THE HIGHWAY (HWY 37). DO NOT TURN ONTO ANY OTHER SECTION OF THE HALEAKALA HIGHWAY OR LOWER KULA ROAD.

At mile marker 12 you will start to see the Kula Post Office, Kula Elementary School, Kula Park and then the Kula Fire Station, all of these will be on your RIGHT-HAND SIDE. Just past the Fire Station, you'll see what looks like seven used tires painted green atop a telephone pole at the intersection of the Kula Highway (HWY 37) and Copp Road. Make a left turn here and come up the crooked little road to the stop sign. There will be a gas & service station on your right almost on the street. Make a right-hand turn here and come around the gas station and go down the street about 200 yards to the Big Red House in Kula, we are on the left side of the road, you can't miss it.
